From our website (posted from China): "Today was a rest day. Hooray!! While Mommy & Libby rested, Daddy took a bus tour to The Chun Family home, and the Six Banyon Temple. Then we walked around the Hotel, and got some noodles and chicken to eat in the room. Now, Daddy is all tuckered out, and Mommy just got Libby to sleep. Several of the babies and parents are quite sick today. One went to the medical clinic with a very high fever, so remember her in your prayers, if you can.We found out some more information about Libby!! Her nanny Luo wrote a letter to her the night before she left the orphanage, and today we had part of it translated. It is very poignant, and tells us a lot. Luo has beautiful handwriting…rare I think, for a nanny to be able to write. She said that Libby was sick, and was admitted to the hospital last May 5,2005… she was 1 ½ months old. She also described her as reaching out to, and sharing with the other children. She told us that once, Libby’s mouth was burned eating eggs, and she was very wary of eggs for a time after that. She said that Libby loves to feed people food…(true!), and that she is very cute. She said that she can wink, though all we have seen her do is blink, in a funny “morse code” way. Also, she taught Libby to answer the question “Xin Xin, gee sway ma?” (“Xin Xin, How old are you?), by holding up one finger. When John asked her this in Chinese, sure enough, she proudly held up one finger! Libby is something else, that’s for sure! We are anxious for the remainder of the letter to be translated! We have been hearing great things about our sons at home… they are so great. Someday, Libby will appreciate the sacrifices they have made for her! Love to all, John, Erin, and “Xin Xin”"
